Hi, I’m Ryan. I live in Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA.
I am an inch-deep, mile-wide kind of nerd: I may not know everything about something off the top of my head, but I can find the info as needed. Contrarian, curmudgeon, and raconteur.
By day, I’m a senior Business Analyst working at the University of Michigan. I generally work on large, capital projects, deploying and supporting enterprise software and SaaS solutions. My work is typical Business Analyst stuff: requirements, business cases, QA, documentation. I also dabble in and enjoy Change Management work (in the people and process change sense, not ITIL Change Management).
Outside of work, I spend time with my partner and pets, infrequently play PC and console games, and watch entirely too many British game shows and tele. I dink around with some hobbies like 3D printing, woodworking, and paper crafts (bookmaking and box making mostly). I also enjoy cooking an am learning to cook a more healthy menu in middle age (bye bye BBQ).
I used to spend a lot of time on Twitter, but now that it’s a Nazi bar, I’m on Mastodon and Bluesky. I’m elsewhere on the internet, but that’s up to you to find.
